Good News, I No Longer Have The Worst Blog On Word Press

That odious distinction belongs to the least creative site I’ve seen in a long time, (and given my unemployed status, let’s just say I’ve seen my fair share of crappy blogs) the Stuff College People Like Blog. A few weeks ago, I warned everyone of the emergence of copycat blogs like Stuff Educated Black People Like and lamented the fact that such blatant lack of ingenuity generated significant web traffic. Well, at least the first few were well-written and occasionally chuckle-inducing; the second wave of knock offs, like the Stuff White Parents like and the Stuff College People Like Blog are nauseatingly dull. I swear, the latter is written by a marker-sniffing fifth grader. Here’s a synopsis of the site’s article on Facebook: ‘Oh my God, college kids like Facebook a lot. They waste time on it. They do it instead of studying. Writing on people’s walls and joining groups is fun. I like Facebook and it is great. The end.’ If you recall, I originally vowed to never link to any of these despicable bastions of anti-originality, but this example of idiocy was so appallingly hilarious, I felt I must share it. You may ask why this has frayed my nerves so? Because this bromidic blog gets twenty times the hits of the Brog! Unberievabre. As a result, I think I’ll change the name of the Brog to the “Stuff Orlando-based Irish-American Francophiles with Yellow Fever Like” Blog. No, not really, but I bet some gimmick like that would actually work. Before I part, I must admit, I adore one of the copycat blogs, the Stuff Stick Figure People Like Blog, because it subtly mocks the knock off genre and, more importantly, stick people are the only reason I got through high school. Not surprisingly, this super-awesome blog gets about as many hits as mine does.
